Yoga/Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy tailors traditional yoga practices to help meet the health needs of individuals. Run in small classes or individually suitable for all ages and levels of experience, it is taught in a safe manner with participants taking control of each posture. This allows them to pay close attention to how their body feels at any given time and learn to listen to its signals. Such self-awareness can be a powerful tool for maintaining health in everyday life.

Moksha Series

Vanessa's Moksha Yoga or Moksha "Inspired" classes focus on proper alignment within postures, breath and body awareness and developing a deeper mind-body-soul connection.

The Moksha Yoga sequence of postures are designed to be:

Consistent: Sequence of postures are consistent

Couples Yoga

Couples Yoga is a wonderful way to de-stress, unwind, re-connect and just have fun with your partner or spouse in a safe environment either in your home or at Relax BioSpa in Thornhill, ON.

Couples Yoga is designed specifically for the couple in mind. Whether it is to rebuild or build upon your intimacy, create a romantic environment and reconnect with your partner or it is simply to try a new activity such as yoga; Vanessa caters to each couple's needs and desires.

Yoga Flow

Yoga Flow captures the fluidity of Ashtanga yoga and the precision of Iyengar yoga. It is a dynamic method of yoga, connecting poses smoothly and fluidly, harmonizing breath and movement through enjoyable flowing sequences. The practice builds strength, flexibility, balance and breath control, connecting mind and body gracefully.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is the oldest form of Hatha yoga. Typically it is practiced in order to open the hip, chest and shoulders preparing for a seated meditation practice. This is entirely a "passive" more gentle form of yoga where postures are held for several minutes to open up the muscles, joints, ligaments and lengthen the connective tissue.

Vanessa may follow if requested with a seated meditation class teaching students the basics of meditation, breath work, philosophy of meditation.
