Good, good, good, vibrations for vibrant health

Everything in the universe is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies. It has become well-established that energy, or chi, flows through our bodies, nourishing our cells and organs to maintain health and vitality. But if this energy gets blocked, disturbed or weakened, tissues and organ functions become restricted, and our bodies become pre-disposed to health problems, such as disease or chronic pain.

Stress and negative emotions are now understood to be the main culprits in causing energy disturbances.

Want to keep your energy flowing?

Here are eight ways to maintain vibrant energy and vibrant health:

1. Stop and smell the roses. Appreciate beauty every day.
Most people feel more energized just by being out in nature. You might even consider hugging a tree! Touching trees or even walking under them can actually help centre your energy and make you feel more grounded.

2. Turn up the music.
Music you enjoy can shift your mood, helping to release negative thoughts and increase your energy vibrations. Whether you are listening to some tunes, playing an instrument or singing, all can work to uplift you to a positive, high vibrational place.

3. Meditate more.
Meditation helps to calm your spirit and put you in a peaceful state of mind. Devoting just 10 minutes a day to meditation can counteract the negative low vibrations of anxiety and stress.

4.Be grateful.
Making a gratitude list shifts your vibrations from focusing on what you don’t have to what is already abundant in your life. At least once a day, make a list of five things that you are grateful for that day.

5. Practice acts of kindness.
Being kind to yourself and to others puts your energy at a higher vibrational state.

6. Dance, prance or just get moving.
Activity increases vibrational energy. So the more you move, the more your energy moves.

7. Become more conscious of your thoughts.
Negative thoughts have negative energy and lead to negative emotions. Next time you have a negative thought, take the time to acknowledge it, thank it for showing up, and then dismiss it.

8. Be aware that emotions are energy in motion.
All emotions radiate at different energy levels. Have you noticed how little energy you have when you feel shame or guilt, and how much more energy you have when you feel trust and understanding. What can you do to improve your mood?

Consider trying the emotional freedom technique (EFT), or tapping, to neutralize negative emotions and help release “feel good” hormones.
