Before I left for Africa, I was suffering from a lingering cough. For help, I turned to Pushpa Bansal, a health coach who works with The Rose Remedy. She used her knowledge of Meta-Health and NLP to help me get rid of my cough before my African adventure began.
Here is a guest blog post written by Pushpa Bansal that takes a closer look at allergies, Meta- Health and NLP.
Summer is here. For many people, it’s allergy season.
I’ve experienced that up close. One summer, when I was living in England, my five-year-old son flew back from India. He went out to enjoy the garden and kick around a football. Within 15 minutes, he had a runny nose, watery eyes and was sneezing profusely. We immediately took him to our family doctor. That’s when I first heard about “hay fever.”
My experience with my son left me with a big question: Why do some people get allergies and others don’t?
As I now understand, we can answer this question from three perspectives: conventional medicine, Meta-Health and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
Conventional medicine has come up with numerous theories about what causes an allergic reaction. One of the most popular is that we develop an allergy when our organism is exposed to an offending substance at a time when our immune system is weak.
One person may react with a runny nose and itchy eyes, another with asthma, and still another with a skin rash. The symptoms can range from mild to serious.
However, experienced, allergic reactions are related to our immune systems. So if someone is exposed to a substance, such as dust, mould or pollen, that might otherwise be harmless, it may affect their immune system in such a way as to cause the person to over-react by producing antibodies that “attack” the allergen. This can cause wheezing, itching, runny nose, watery or itchy eyes, and other symptoms.
Meta-Health, based on Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer’s German New Medicine, goes deeper, offering a science-based explanation of emotional reactions by our bodies. When we experience an unexpected “conflict shock,” our mind is in an acute awareness phase. Being on high alert, our ‘unconscious mind’ picks up all of the components that surround the conflict, such as smells, tastes, sounds, objects and people, and stores them until the conflict is completely resolved.
One of the key principles of Meta-Health is that symptoms are biologically meaningful reactions. So rather than seeing an allergic response as an attack on our immune system from an otherwise-harmless substance, Meta-Health looks for answers more tied to the particulars of an individual’s life. The answer to why someone’s body would react in this way is tied to how this response could be meaningful in the context of that person’s life.
Knowing that allergies begin at a specific point in someone’s life, the answer to “why” the allergies developed can be uncovered by collecting information on “what,” “when,” and “how” things were happening in their life at the time.
Using my son as an example, here are the questions and answers for his “why.”
When did the allergy begin?
My son’s allergy appeared as soon as he came back from India, leaving behind his grandparents.
What was happening in his life at that time?
It was a transition time for him.
How did he feel and what was he thinking at that time?
He was missing his grandparents.
The “why” of his allergy’s beginnings was answered by these particulars.
We know that allergies are a meaningful response to a certain behaviour our body is engaged in. We also know that neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a way of changing that behaviour or thoughts to help achieve desired outcomes.
NLP views allergies as a behaviour by the immune system. It’s like the immune system is having a tantrum in response to a conflict happening in a person’s life. Thus, allergies are overreactions by the immune system to things that are not necessarily dangerous or bothersome in and of themselves.
The NLP healing method treats the root cause of the allergy and re-educates the immune system:
- It checks the time when the person’s life was in transition. Allergies tend to develop during the transition times from one way of being to another.
- It checks the situation that was out of balance.
- It checks that the person’s immune system gets into a heightened state of alert in a similar environment or because of a similar stimulus.
An allergic response happens when the immune system mistakenly thinks something that is not otherwise harmful to your body is actually dangerous. So an allergy is basically a mistake on the part of the immune system.
The immune system reacts to life transitions, such as starting school, puberty, leaving home at a young age or pregnancy.
NLP offers a process to end the allergies, and it works. It gives you your life back, allowing you to enjoy it on your terms, freeing you to participate in activities that might have been restricted by your allergy. The process does not take very long, but it is very powerful.
You might be curious to know what happened to my son’s allergies. That year, he was admitted to hospital three times and was kept in an oxygen tent to help him breathe. We waited with bated breath for him to get better. He was on asthma puffers and medications, and I kept a humidifier in his room.
Doctors treat symptoms, not the root cause. The prescription medicines left his skin dry and itchy. He was not his usual happy self and we all felt his misery.
Many years went by before I learned energy-shifting, cutting-edge transformational tools and techniques such as NLP, Advanced Clearing Energetics (ACE), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Matrix Reimprinting, HUNA, Reflexology and Aromatherapy.
As soon as I practiced these revolutionary ways of dealing with allergies, I worked with my son. He is now free of his medicine, itchy nose, sneezing and watery eyes. All of his symptoms are gone.
My son has learned to release the energy behind the allergies; he knows the triggers and makes sure to stay in control.
